Listening to James Turrell talk at Moderna Muset, in Stockholm a few days ago, couldn´t avoid refering to the illusionistic theatre movement that used the black box as a magic of secrets. His play with perception made me think about Lumiere Brothers centenary contribution, about cinema or moving image in general, and how we ask to be tricked to be amused. Me too.
Then reminded me that you don´t have necessarily to follow any Guru.

Andrea Branzi
"Opacity and nebulosity belongs to the post-illuminist visual culture, where vision is no longer the instrument that allows for the investigation of profound mechanisms upon which reality is based, but becomes a more complex perceptive instrument, independent of any recognizing function and producer of more delicate, poetic experiences that are less clear, but richer than other information."
