The science of lighting is indeed an interdisciplinary field, witch to a certain extent may explain the existing disarray and confusion regarding the use of vocabulary.
The entities of what we see are visual, while the properties characterizing light radiation are physical.

How what we see is influenced by light energy ?

Visual terminology and physical terminology with equal weight defending an argument by
the abolishment of hierarchy on any descriptions.

Vision is the visual experience of space and it’s objects.

All we see can be said to be a spatial context of contrasts.
